Stardock Entertainment’s Sins of a Solar Empire is doing extremely well on digital downloads. According to the NPD group, its retail sales for February are topped only by CoD4 in the PC games category.

Stardock mentions that NPD doesn’t include sales figures from Walmart which they believe would put them in the number one slot. Since its release in February, Sins has enjoyed outstanding success so far and has just been patched. The original game was released with no CD/DVD copy protection. If people have tried it out before buying, they certainly seem to have found it worth purchasing.
