The Sims Online may have crashed and burned, but the failed social networking game is rising from the ashes as EA Land. The new free to play world is based on TSO architecture; but now it’s “fun”.
The developers have figured out what was missing from TSO that has attracted so many fans around the world to The Sims and The Sims 2 games. Players can now upload custom content and trade it amongst themselves. The devs estimate that the original contents of the game could be replaced within a year.
However, all the new custom content, objects and skins are subject to approval, so don’t look forward to custom genitalia ala Second Life.

“The new free to play world…”
People can forgive alot when its free.

OMG TSO IS OVER, IT HAS BEEN OVER FOR A LONG TIME, READ THIS POST!

TSO was a great game that all of us played, and it is sad that it is GONE! It’s GONE FOR GOOD!! NO ONE IS EVER ALLOWED BACK ON AGAIN
EA LAND KILLED US ALL!!
It all happened because the devs decided to have people buy money, and make it SUPER HARD to make money in moneymaking machines, such as jam stations. The best way to make money was to get a job. But why am I explaining this to you? I DON’T KNOW
The Sims Online (had an urge to use it’s formal name there)was the greatest game on the history of the earth!! Went up for six years, and I played it since Beta Testing!
EA, You are truly SUPER HORRIBLE!!
I’M COMING FOR YOU EA, WATCH OUT, SAVE YOUR CHILDREN I’M COMING.
