Sims 3 Gets Release Date and Dev Video

EA Games has given eager Sims fans something to look forward to early next year. The Sims 3 is scheduled for a February 20, 2009 release date. Of course there will be a Collector’s Edition that includes enticing goodies such as an exclusive Italian sports car. Here are the details from the press release on Business Wire:
The Sims 3 Collector’s Edition will include:
- The Sims 3 Game for PC
- The Sims Plumbob USB Drive with matching Green Carabiner
- Exclusive In-Game Italian-Style Sports Car
- Tips and hints guide
- The Sims 3 Plumbob Stickers
The Sims 3 website has been updated as EA gears up for the release of what will certainly be as popular and addictive a title as The Sims and The Sims 2. There’s a new developer video which illustrates Sims’ personality traits and animations, which are very likely to have come directly from the developers video capturing themselves. You’ll also get a much better idea of just how gameplay works. It seems like The Sims 3 has taken a giant leap towards Simcity Societies where you can change Sims on the fly. huh? I have known the release date for… weeks?
Well this was the first time I’d heard or seen the announcement so I posted it. Where did you see it? I’m curious…
I googled it looong time ago, when I was making a list of games I want to buy (and when they come out). Could be wikipedia… or then not. Can’t remember.
Eh, I’ll probably pick up the game, just so I can have the whole collection. They are always fund and interesting to play for awhile.
Does anyone know how much the game will cost?
