Flickr user Matthew Johnston has posted some pretty interesting side by side comparisons of spots in Liberty City vs. real-life parts of NYC. There are definitely worth a look, and instead of posting them all here at once, I will just let you click through the link at the bottom.Say what you will about Rockstar all you GTA IV naysayers, their attention to detail and dedication to immersive experiences are almost second to none.

I just got this game, and walked up to the Broker Bridge(Brooklyn Bridge) the same way I did the day before I got it. They definitely got the scenery right.
i was going to buy a console just to play this game. but now i think i’ll save myself 400+ bux and GO OUTSIDE and enjoy the REAL NYC. you get to an age (25) where you realize that you only have one life and it’s pathetic wasting precious time sitting on your ass playing video games, you know?
