Showtime’s Dexter Getting Its Own Video Game

It looks like Showtime’s hit series Dexter, about a serial killer who also solves violent crimes, is getting the video game treatment. Showtime and Marc Ecko Entertainment have apparently partnered up to create the video game adaptation, and that’s about all that’s known about the title at this time. Personally, I love the show, but the idea of the people behind Marc Ecko’s Getting Up creating game based around a TV show that’s more character driven than anything else spells “doom” to me. I’d much prefer to see some SimCity-style game based around Showtime’s other hit show, Weeds.

Is it a bad sign when I show starts out on Showtime and then winds up also airing on CBS? I don’t know but I enjoyed watching Sunday because I don’t have the cable package with Showtime.
A video game of this show would be a bad idea. Very bad.
