Shocker: Peter Molyneux Gives Fable 2 a 9/10

Peter Molyneux is probably one of the most interesting game designers out there today. He is weird, slightly warped and highly talented which means that this demented genius is a great thing for gamers as a whole. One thing I found out about Molyneux today though, is that like most designers, the Lionhead Studios bossman is also very partial to his “baby”.
Case in point, over on Actiontrip, Molyneaux is quoted as saying that Fable 2 is “the best, most complete game I’ve ever worked on.” This comes on the heels of him stating that the game is different because he failed to make the same mistakes that he made on previous games:
“Black & White, The Movies, Dungeon Keeper, pretty much every game I’ve ever done has had interesting features thrown in to the pot without worrying what the flavor was like. I’d rate [Fable 2] a 9 out of 10.”
I guess we will see if gamers and critics alike give it the same amount of love when it is released on October 10 here in North America. However, I do have to say that it looks like it will be a much more indepth and interesting game than the first Fable. While I did not hate the game, it just did not pack the punch I was expecting – Fable 2 on the other hand, looks like it will have a few left-hooks and then some.

Boooo fable booooooo. I want Dungeon Keeper
First one was mediocre. I expect the second to be just as mediocre.
Game is severely over rated. Fable 1 was just alright… so why is Fable 2 getting such a big spotlight???
like the first one alot, but like the first one i’ll wait on the PC version.
Ya Fable was awesome since I didn’t know what to expect and the only other RPG’s I’d played before it where Pokeman and some FF games.
Crappy journalism FTW
!!!
Everyone is taking this way to out of context. If you look at the direct source over at CVG Peter Molyneux states:
“‘I’d rate it a 9 out of 10,” Molyneux added, when asked if he’d fulfilled his original vision with Fable II.”
Meaning that he’s rating it on how close it came to his vision of what he wanted Fable II to be, not what score the critics will give it.
