Shadowrun Demo Dated; June 6th

According to the official Shadowrun forums, a FASA rep has stated that the Shadowrun demo will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace on June 6th.

It was previously thought the Shadowrun demo would be released before Shadowrun hits retail stores, but it seems the reason for the delay may have to do with another popular FPS.

We’d rather release the demo at a time when players can focus their attention and time on Shadowrun, i.e., not in the middle of the Halo 3 beta. We hear that’s a pretty cool game, too. Come June, when players are suffering withdrawal from H3 goodness, they can slide right into Shadowrun demo action.

That kind of makes sense seeing that everyone seems to be knee deep in the Halo 3 beta at the moment. I have games that came in from Gamefly and I haven’t even cracked the seal since I know the Halo 3 beta is for a limited time. It’s good to know though that a Shadowrun demo will be available around the time Halo 3 beta ends. Now I can get into another FPS demo without spending a dime!
