Shadowrun has been out for both the Xbox 360 and PC for a month or so and if you want to play it on the PC, you’ll need to have Windows Vista… or do you?

It seems infamous warez hacking group ‘Razor1911′ has done the “impossible”. They state they have successfully hacked Shadowrun so it can be played on Windows XP machines, without the need for DirectX 10.

According to reports, it seems the cracking process is a fairly simple one, requiring you to overwrite a file here and there with Razor1911’s files then voila, you got Shadowrun on Windows XP. I’d be interested in seeing if Microsoft does anything to combat this new crack, or since it’s only Shadowrun, will they just leave it alone and learn their mistakes for upcoming “Vista only” titles.

    Obviously I don’t condone such actions…but…y’know…Halo 2…I wouldn’t exactly complain. Ahem.
