Sequel to The Darkness Hinted At

When it first arrived on consoles, The Darkness, based on the hit comic, didn’t bomb, but it didn’t exactly make any especially huge waves either. Well, apparently Starbreeze may be getting a chance to fine-tune that property for a second outing with Jackie Estacado. Recently at the New York Comic-Con, Top Cow, the comic’s publisher hinted at a possible sequel in the works:
“We can’t say ‘Darkness’ and ‘video game sequel’ in the same sentence. So, ‘Darkness.’ Wink. ‘Sequel.’”
Of course those words could mean anything from “we joked about it while we were drunk at a bar” to “you’re going to hear a lot more about it very very soon.” Guess we’ll just have to see what happens. Personally, I wouldn’t mind jumping into Jackie’s shoes once more.

As long as they remove that whole mob thing from the game, it shouldn’t suck. Anything having to do with any sort of mafia is retarded. Be it a TV show, a trio of movies, or games that are called Mafia.
The mob is fake.
We’ve had discussions with the developer and they are definitely working on a sequel as we speak. Hopefully some more information about this development will come out this week.
The Darkness was great as a single player, but I heard it bombed as a multiplayer. It had alot of neat additions, like the videoes in between loading screens. Great voice acting cast too.
