Self Playing Guitar Hero Robot Video

We all know that Guitar Hero is a tough series. The above video shows off a hacker who has created a self playing Guitar Hero robot and is just in the process of tweaking the setup. Although I find the video interesting, I also have to wonder if it would simply be easier to try and master the game. There will certainly be a market for such a device, since cheating games has become a very popular thing these days.

I picked up my first video game guitar in October of 2007. At the time, I couldn’t get a high score on “medium” to save my life and if I got past 15 seconds on a “hard” song, I’d be lucky. After playing GH2 and GH3 for a while, I have drastically improved my skills and now tend to play most songs on hard. It’s certainly one of those games that requires a lot of practice and it definitely pays off. I’m not saying the above idea isn’t cool, because it certainly is. I am saying that there is an underlying problem in gaming today where many people look to methods of cheating instead of methods of improving your personal skills in a game.
