Season Finale of Sam & Max Released Worldwide

Telltale Games has just released the  final episode for Sam & Max: Season 1. This will represent the end of this chapter in one of the first and more successful attempts at episodic gaming. The sixth episode in the series, called “Bright Side of the Moon,” will find the Freelance Police leaving planet earth in search of adventure and mayhem:

“Sam & Max must blast into outer space to infiltrate a utopian lunar retreat and confront the mastermind behind the scheme. But when the crime-fighting duo’s special brand of chaos intersects with a disturbingly toxic tranquility, have these freelance police finally met their match?”

The series can be downloaded from the Telltale Games website, where they offer several different packages for you to get the whole season or just individual episodes. And now, if you buy the complete season, you can also have a DVD of it shipped to you in June, with new cover art from Sam & Max creator, Steve Purcell. It is truly a landmark day for detective dogs and psychotic bunny-things everywhere.
