New Raving Rabbids TV Party Trailer: Featuring a Hidden Cookie

RRR TV Party `Big Brother` Trailer

Something must be wrong with me, but I never get tired of those darn Rabbids and their ridiculous antics. This new trailer shows off one wayward Rabbid in some sort of reality show confessional booth, where he jabbers on in his weird language. And then he pulls a cookie out from under him with much straining and a loud “pop.” Then he screams…presumably at the prospect of finding a tasty cookie in his butt. Personally, I’d be a little wary about cookies that came from inside myself too, no matter how delicious-looking.

It has been one crazy week, and the craziest thing happening at home base while Jonathan and Shawn were in LA was the amount of assets we received in our inboxes on a daily basis. I have decided to post the lonely screens and trailers that did not get their very own post into one large post full of links. There’s just is not enough time to post them all, so this is the best way I know how.

While this is not a comprehensive list of what was not covered, it is close. There are more screens floating around out there that we have yet to get, but if or when we do, we will do our best to wow you with them.

Below you will find a list of games from A-N and a link to the trailer or screens for it. Be sure to look over the list carefully, because something you are interested in may be included. I have highlighted ones that may be of special interest.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party Coming to the Wii and DS

Today Ubisoft announced that Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party will launch for the Wii and Nintendo DS this holiday season. Following the tradition of Rayman Raving Rabbids titles showcasing zany fun, this time around the series incorporates the use of the Wii Balance Board.

In RRR TV Party, the Rabbids plan to invade televisions worldwide, providing players with a variety of games and comedic exploits spoofing TV shows, pop culture and even advertisements.

“The Rayman Raving Rabbids titles have been an immense success, entertaining the world over,” said Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer, Ubisoft. “The inclusion of the Wii Balance Board into the game was a huge source of inspiration for our development team and I guarantee you will see the Wii Balance Board used in ways that will be surprisingly unexpected!”

To date, the Rayman titles have sold more than 22 million units worldwide and to check out what to expect from these crazy critters, look no further than the “teaser” video above. More info on the game is expected to be release during E3 2008, so be sure and hang out with us because we have people heading that way who will be more than happy to give us their impressions of it.

You can also check out the “mini-game” trailer for the game after the break, which as usual shows a preppy family in a nice home and the Father figure playing with his Wii. Pun intended.

The Ubidays event yesterday gave us some absolute winners in the way of announcements (Beyond Good & Evil 2) and then some down right stinkers (a stop smoking game for the DS… WTF??!!). Like the previous post, there is no need for you to go looking all over the internet for pictures of games you are interested in and ones you want to stab with a lit cigarette because you can get them all right here.

XBLA Wednesday 4/30: Go Play GTA Instead Edition

raving rabbid XBLA Wednesday 4/30: Go Play GTA Instead Edition

As Jonathan reported yesterday, no new Xbox Live Arcade games were released today, thanks to Grand Theft Auto IV’s release yesterday. The day after Halo 3 was released we also saw an XBLA release of Jack Squat, so today’s lack of any releases doesn’t come as much of a surprise. After a rocky start to the whole Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday campaign, we’ve had just four weeks (not including today) since August that didn’t bring any new games – and that was due to new games becoming Arcade Hits, Undertow being temporarily released for free, or Halo 3’s release. So I won’t go too hard on Microsoft.

What you can find new on the Xbox Live Marketplace today is a totally free Dr. Pepper theme! Please, hold your applause, because there’s more. A bunch of Turok themes have also been released (although they’ll run you the ridiculous standard price of 150 Microsoft Points each), a free F-16C -PJ Emblem- download for Ace Combat 6 owners, an Alone in the Dark trailer, and some sort of Raving Rabbids invasion of Chessmaster Live that will run you 150 points. I have no idea what it’s all about, but I’m jealous that Chessmaster gets it and not Spyglass Board Games.

You may now resume your regularly scheduled GTA session.

New Video Suggests Next Rayman Raving Rabbids Game Will Use the WiiFit Balance Board

Rayman Raving Rabbids `Wii Fit` Video (UK)

Well, this is certainly the most random video of the day. This new video from Ubisoft strongly suggests that the balance board for WiiFit will be used for the next Rayman Raving Rabbids title. Unfortunately, the video is really all that Ubisoft has unveiled on the matter, but you can probably assume the new title will involve playing a series of mini-games to thwart the little bunny-like things’ latest plot. You know, I normally can’t stand the advent of a new mini-game collection for the Wii, but those crazy Rabbids just crack me up every time.

Crazy Rabbit-Like Things in Launch Trailer for Raving Rabbids 2

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Launch Trailer

Once again, there’s a new trailer out for Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, which features more antics from those psychotic rabbity things. This time, they’re breaking into someone house to pull off their dastardly scheme to play their own game against a father and son. I’m really not sure what terrifies me more: the alien Rabbids wreaking havoc or the father and son going equally nuts over the game. It’s nice to see a game though that delivers the powerful message that all of life’s problems can be solved by a plunger to the face.

World Invasion in New Trailer for Rayman Raving Rabbids 2

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Intro Trailer

Those pesky Rabbids are at it again. Ubisoft has unveiled the intro movie for the upcoming game, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. The video shows the Rabbids swarming the globe from large yellow submarines. My guess is they’re also huge Beatles fans. At any rate, the video pretty funny, since people getting bombarded by little rabbity-things is always good for a laugh.

The Raving Rabbids Are Back

raving rabbids ds 1 The Raving Rabbids Are Back

I think most everyone enjoyed the Raving Rabbids marketing campaign back when the game was first released last year. Now, they’ve made their way onto the DS, as cute and psychotic looking as ever, and we’ve got a few shots of the Rabbids’ DS escapades. Hopefully we’ll get a new wave of commercials, because you just can’t go wrong with the insane things running around screen for 30 seconds.More after the break.

Assassin’s Creed, Haze, or Raving Rabbids 2 Getting Delayed?

By Jonathan on Thursday, October 25th, 2007 at 10:31 AM

ubisoft1 1 Assassins Creed, Haze, or Raving Rabbids 2 Getting Delayed?

It seems more developers are jumping out of the way of the atomic blast of game releases that drops this holiday season. After several titles like Smash Bros. Brawl, Army of Two, and Harvey Birdman being nudged into next year, it looks like Ubisoft is preparing to do the same with one or more of it’s high-profile titles. In a recent financial report put out by the company, they made a note that some games’ releases would be postponed. Unfortunately, they didn’t note specifically which ones:

“As a result of the positive trends observed during the first half of the year as well as the positive outlook for the third quarter, Ubisoft has decided to postpone the release of certain games…Six franchises are now scheduled for release in 2007-08 (Brothers in Arms, Far Cry, Rayman Raving Rabbids, The Settlers, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and an unannounced franchise), compared with the previously announced seven…Three new brands are now scheduled for release in 2007-08 (Assassin’s Creed, Haze, Tom Clancy’s End War), compared with the previously announced six … the four games concerned will now strengthen Fiscal 2008-09.”

It should be noted that Ubisoft’s Fiscal 2007-08 year ends on March 31, 2008. The wording is quite vague in the report, but they do specifically say that some games will be getting pushed back. We’ll just have to wait and see which ones. Personally, I’m okay so long Assassin’s Creed stays on time…and by saying that, I’ve probably just jinxed it.
