Jonathan reported on the Final Fantasy VII petition approaching 14,000 signatures a few weeks ago. The petition was sent to Square Enix after 10,000 signatures with no positive results. Square Enix has issued statements claiming that they will not be developing the game. Members of the Final Fantasy XIII team have stated that they would love to develop a remake of Final Fantasy VII, so if support continues for the idea, I am sure something might happen. The folks over at PS3 forums have put together a full list of all confirmed PS3 exclusives. This is probably one of the more definitive and easier to read lists of all the exclusive games for the sytem out there. They even give a few screenshots for each title, so you can get a look at what it is exactly. There are 51 titles in all and most of them are pretty heavy hitters. This could be just the thing to drag the system up the console ladder. The complete list is below:

Looks like PS3 owners will have to wait until next year for Final Fantasy XIII. Stop crying, it will be here soon enough – when it comes to Final Fantasy…  you should expect this sort of delay in the first place because FF games never come out on time.

According to Square-Enix, president Yoichi Wada moved the Japanese release to March 2008, which is the end of the company’s fiscal year. Sounds like he wants 2008 to give their stockholders a little bang for their buck. A March 08 release means that a US version will be here MAYBE in late summer 2008. Just be patient until then, and we will keep you up to date on anything we hear.
