It seems like the Nintendo Channel’s selection of DS demos is going to be changing, which means previously available demos won’t be there forever. But the good news to go along with that is, of course, the availability of new demos. DS Fanboy has scoped out the Nintendo Channel and noticed the latest change, which adds one thing of particular note — Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Not too shabby.
Although one has to wonder why Nintendo can’t just keep a backlog of all these demos. Hopefully that changes in the future.
The currently available DS demos, thanks to DS Fanboy:
- Brain Age 2
- Brain Age
- Flash Focus: Vision Training in Just Minutes a Day
- Crosswords DS
- The Spiderwick Chronicles
- Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
- Eco-Creatures: Save the Forest
- My Word Coach
- Iron Man

So now you’re probably thinking, what do I have to do to play the demo for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney? Do I have to go to a website to get into a drawing? Do I have to pre-order it? What? Well, the answer is actually much simpler. All you have to do to play the demo is click the box on the DS screen below that says “New Game.” Yep, the new demo can be played just using your mouse to click through the dialogue and cross-examine and such. Then you can automatically get a quick taste of what’s in store for you in this new Ace Attorney game, including a strange turn of events that has a returning character on trial for murder. I’m just hoping more game companies release demos for the DS this way.

Hot on the heels of the latest screens and gameplay announcements for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Capcom have sent us a trailer which depicts nothing more than a character showcase. The main characters are show via their artist renderings and the facial expressions you can expect to see within the game; also making an appearance is the much loved Phoenix Wright and his sidekick Ema Skye. The one that tickled me the most was “Rockin’ Klavier Gavin”, which given the fun absurdity of most of the characters in the Ace Attorney games, what more could you expect than highly animated facial features and wacky names.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney will be landing in stores on February 12, 2008 exclusively for the Nintendo DS. For more information on the game, look no further than our previous posts.

Capcom has just announced the next installment in the popular Ace Attorney series for the Nintendo DS, and this time it doesn’t feature the intrepid Phoenix Wright. Instead players will take on the role of newcomer Apollo Justice, whose name alone has him predestined to become and attorney. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney will have you exploring new crime scenes, trying to solve new cases, and interacting with new characters, like, um, this weird guy to the right. Look for this game to hit store shelves early next year. In the mean time, there are also some new screens up for this title.
This just goes to show, if you name your kid “Apollo,” he’s destined for strange and entertaining things.
