SCEA Announces New Video/Movie Download Service For PS3

This morning, the internet was cracked wide open with the announcement that Sony will be offering a price cut of it’s current 60GB version of the PS3, as well as offering an 80GB version of the PS3 for the retail price of $599.
But that’s not all. Sony has also announced a new download service that will bring videos, movies, and other entertainment content through the Playstation Store. This is another huge step for Sony in the right direction. The only thing I’m hoping for, and I’m sure everyone else is for some kind of upgrade to the Playstation Store that will make it easier to navigate through. If Sony can make these new downloads easier to find, I’m sure the results would be immensely profitable.
As of now, no other announcements have been made regarding what videos and movies will be made available, or even what movie studios are backing Sony’s download service up. As soon as an announcement is made, we’ll be sure to update you.
