Sam & Max Apparently Coming to Wii

While it seems like a natural fit for a point-and-click adventure like Sam & Max, and while developer Telltale Games had expressed interest in working on the Wii previously, we’ve never gotten any solid indication that Sam & Max would be coming to Nintendo’s newest console.
A translated version of a JoWooD page mentions bringing Sam & Max over to Wii as one of its next projects, although there’s no telling when this will actually happen. JoWooD UK declined to comment when contacted by Eurogamer, so the news isn’t official yet.
Hopefully this is true, as the Sam & Max games are really great and the Wii is just such a natural place for the series to end up. You can read Jonathan’s impressions of the most recent episode, Moai Better Blues, here.

I just hope this helps revitalize the adventure genre some. It just hasn’t been the same since LucasArts dropped out of that business to focus on rehashing Star Wars over and over.
@Jonathan: I agree. I know Star Wars is a huge franchise, but c’mon, they made a killing with their adventure games and is probably why they are as big as they are recently.
When the Wii was revealed (as the Revolution), I knew that adventure games would make a killing on the Wii. I already own all of the Sam & Max games, but if the stories are true and the games do come out on the Wii, I plan on buying them still and giving them to my brother to play. I’ll do anything to show my support for adventure games on the Wii!
