Saint’s Row for PS3 Cancelled, Saint’s Row 2 to Hit XBox 360 and PS3

THQ announced today that Saint’s Row for the PS3 has been canceled. Instead, the publisher is focusing their resources on a sequel to the original Saint’s Row.
The sequel, slated for a 2008 release for XBox 360 and PS3, is being developed by Volition, who also developed the original Saint’s Row. Over 1.4 million units of the XBox 360 version of Saint’s Row have shipped worldwide, says THQ. This number is likely to rise, as it has recently been released as a XBox 360 Platinum Hits title at a reduced price.
Apparently, THQ preferred to focus their attention on a successful, simultaneous launch of the sequel across multiple consoles. THQ CEO Brian Ferrel said, “We’ve done great things for our brands by putting them in the right time frame. The most important thing for the Saints Row franchise is to have a simultaneous shipment into a larger installed base next year. That’s what we’re looking for with Saints Row 2.”

Saints Row AINT coming out for the P.S. 3 because the P.S. 3 cannot accept the backward compatablity issues associated with the port from the 360 to the P.S. 3. And while we are talking about over heat issues how many P.S.3″s do you actually see running? like at wal-mart? nope, game stop?, nope, normally either turned off so customers won’t have to see the error screen thus hurt sales even more, or the dang thing over heated and self imploded and the management at the store said screw it “just shut the piece of shit off”. P.S.3, $100.00 price drop?, i heard and read that you will only get a 40 gig hard drive and other features will be removed or slashed completely, i guess we will have to wait and see. Xbox 360 has done and did the good deed, they increased the warranty on the Xbox 360 up to 3 years from date of purchase. Now you little minded kids need to remember one thing, these units are not made at Microsoft Corp America, but are made in China, can you say China?…C h i n a, very good. Q.C. at Microsoft labs only get off the assembly line a tiny percentage of the units that roll down the assembly line for testing, and you can bet your very first puby hair that those units are the best the Chinese manufacturers can make. Where are the P.S. 3’s made at?, serious i won’t own one but that don’t mean that i am not curious as to where in this big old globe we call earth that it is made at, Thailand?, Singapore?, Maybe even (gasp!!) China?. Why do you think we have the problems with our consoles that we have now?, because we have them manufactured over seas with countries that do not give a rats ass about the consumer, they are only consumed by one driving force and that is greed, the bottom line, staying in the black. While we here in the States and other countries have our little pee pee wars about who has the better consoles. If and when, and that means NEVER, they are made and put together here in Our country then we can have a console war, BUT please don’t have it for the foreign powers sake. Be glad we have 3 (THREE) yes three companies making consoles out there Nintendo who by the way is number 1 (one) in sales of hardware, followed by Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Premium and the Elite, followed lastly by Sony’s number 3, (three) yes 3, whom is still trying to build up a head of steam, and when she does…watch out!. If there was only one console, it does not matter who, what do you suppose you would pay for a next gen system?, would that system even be as good as the consoles of today? or would they still be stuck in the 64 bit days with carts instead of c.d.roms?, or worse yet graphics not much better than an Atari 5200 series!!! (YIKES). So i guess it is good that we have this rivalry between systems, just don’t get so cock sure of your selves until you all do a little bit of research before you start spouting off on a subject you know not one thing about……like the release of a game…Sheesh!

yea they should make a saints row 2 for 360 but this time not have so many bugs. when you play online all everyone does is glitch its stupid.

PS3 was the best thing i spent my money on. I hated XBox and i hate XBox 360!, i’m not biased, i have tried all of them and found that the PS3 is BETTER…
Saints Row 2 is gonna be an awsome game, and i certainly will buy it, but i’m also a HUGH GTA fan and will get GTA IV when its finally released.
Everyone has their own opinion, which they are entitled to, and my opinion is PS3 is a 1000 times Better than XBox 360.

i played ea skate on 360 and on ps3 the graphics are better on the 360 and the ps3 graphics are cheaper and i heard other stuff about the 360 being better and the controlers are 2 small on the ps3

on the heated up momment ps3 is better because there is more gravifts more memory comes with the blue-ray drive all ready. on like the 360 u have to buy the hd-dd on the side and the playstation last longer than microsoft i buy a new game syteme from both companys every time they come out with a new sytem i get them both but playstation always go back to mack sure there is no problem and microsoft dont they just bring it out but there games are excellent
