seems that saints row 2 is truely a good game …a must own but i think if the makers would have spent a little more time getting everything just right it would be much better then GTA, ya we would have to wait a little longer to play it but i think it would be worth it for the best game devoloped.

It really annoys me when people call Saints Row a GTA knockoff. GTA was the first sandbox shooter game…does this mean that every other sandbox shooter game is a knockoff of GTA? Saying this would mean that every FPS is a knockoff of Wolfstein of Doom (etc etc.)

@Handshakes. Saints Row wasn’t polished, but it was still a fun game. I have to agree with you on that part. Even though the game was basically a GTA IV knockoff, it could stand on it’s own. I am looking forward to SR2. It’s probably going to have more mayhem than GTA IV, but still not as polished.

Saints Row did lack a lot of the GTA 4 polish, but that said I found Saints Row to be a lot more fun than GTA 4.

In my book GTA 4 seemed to forget that half the fun of sandbox games is just running around and blowing crap up just to pass the time. It is really hard to do that when every car handles like you are driving on ice and your aiming/cover system is unwieldly at best. Saints Row did it right with every car handling like a bumper car and a simplified thirdpersonshooter aiming mechanic.

and yeah age gates suck. I don’t even know why we have them in this world.. I suppose it’s just another illusion of society, because any kid can just punch in whatever birth date he wants.
