For a while now, we thought that Sacred 2: Fallen Angel might only be headed to the PC and the Xbox 360 because the PS3 was just never mentioned in any of the press releases or on the publisher or developer’s websites.

Today though Ascaron Entertainment announced that the PS3 version of the upcoming action RPG, will hit retail shelves this fall along with the PC and Xbox 360 version. This version of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel will feature enhanced graphics, 5.1 Channel Dolby Surround Sound and support drop-in cooperative play, as well as other multiplayer gaming modes via the Internet. The game also features two-player shared-screen gaming on one console – players simply pick up a controller, press “Start” and join their friends. Players can save their characters and use them in all game modes – allowing the same character to be used both in single-player or multiplayer modes, accumulating experience and loot seamlessly. The controls and interface have been developed from scratch for the PS3 to ensure fluid and intuitive game play optimized for the platform throughout.

As soon as we get an official release date for Sacred 2 we will be sure to let you know. If you would like to check out the new screens we received for the game today, click here.
