Rygar: The Battle of Argus Shipping February 3, 2009

Gamers who were looking forward to the promised December release of the Wii remake of the classic PS2 game Rygar: The Battle of Argus will just have to wait a bit, because according to Tecmo, the game will not ship until February 3, 2009.

With new enemies, techniques and an all-new Gladiator Mode, specifically equipped for the Wii Remote the game is set in the Greco-Roman era surrounding a warrior attempting to save Princess Harmonia. In the game, players must bring the Island of Argus back to peace and annihilate the Titans using the “Diskarmor.” This action/adventure game spans various zones and incorporates light puzzle solving as you journey through the sundered Island of Argus.

Mechanics for the game using the Wii Remote will include the ability to use the legendary Diskarmor shield to attack, defend, or use as transportation. You will also be able to upgrade multiple Diskarmor weapons with elemental damage attacks such as fire, ice, and lightning which should help you take down your enemies with over 40 different combo attacks.
