Rumor: Wii To Get Playable Downloadable Demos?

I’ve always said that the Nintendo Wii needs downloadable demos. A new rumor has surfaced in the blog world stating that Super Smash Brothers Brawl will appear on the Nintendo marketplace towards the end of this month as a playable demo.
There’s little credibility to this rumor, so I’d file it as possible, but unlikely. If true, we’ll probably hear something from Nintendo in the near future about it. Demos are one thing that the Wii really needs to keep up with Microsoft and Sony.

I highly doubt it the wii only has around 500 mbs not nearly enough to hold a demo and if it did it would take up all memory. Maybe there will just be a demo trailer like for Metroid Prime 3. Maybe we will get demos whenever Nintendo gives us a external harddrive
@Jeff
You failure, they have full games planned for downloads, why wouldn’t they be able to release demos?
Nintendo 64 roms themselves are fairly hefty files.

Nintendo 64 roms rarely exceed 50 MBs, but a game like Brawl could more than likely take sereval gigabytes of space. That is of course the full version. But then again, I don’t see them getting the demo dumbed down to 500 MB either…
What are these full game downloads you speak of? I thought they were just some rumor that was proven false?
@Litude
Note: I said planned, remember Wiiware?
