Rumor: Two Worlds Delayed Due to BioShock Hype?

I know this is how rumors get started, but hey, it’s what people are saying. As some of you may know, the highly-anticipated RPG for the Xbox 360 and PC, Two Worlds, was set to ship today. Well, according to a friend of a friend who works at GameStop, the game has been delayed yet again. The reason this time: they don’t want to compete with all the hype surrounding BioShock. They’ve decided to wait it out for a week until the fervor dies down some (or until most people have had a chance to finish playing BioShock). I did some scouting around and found that the game’s official site is now saying the game will instead be released this Wednesday, August 29.
Once again, this is all just rumor, but it wouldn’t surprise me if BioShock really was the reason for the delay. Two Worlds is by no means one of the smaller titles for this year, but it would still have trouble standing up to a game that’s already being touted as “Game of the Year” material.
I beat bioshock on wednesday
took me 2 days of playing for 8 hours and i beat it on hard mode
got the evil ending
I dont know if this is true… Because Gamestop is already shipping the game.. they cant delay it after it already shipped lol.
Check your sources Jonathan. I just got an email from Gamefly that my copy of Two Worlds was shipped to me. I’ll let you know when I get it.
I can stand to correct him its releaseing Euro at 29th.. which is strange because i thought it was out already Euro.. maybe not the 360 Version ?
No, so far Two worlds has only been released in Germany. The rest of us in Europe are due to get it on the 29th – both versions (xbox & pc).
The 360 version for Canada is soon here. I was told by futureshop next Tuesday. Also was told by some local games store it will be here today. But i will beleive it when i can buy it. I plan on getting this. The online multiplayer is what i need. I am not big into RPGs, but my friends are so i will tag along.
Its good that its released on the 360, the PS3 version i hear wont be out until 2008. Again another 360 first. Im waiting for some PS3 fanboy to critize that now. You know what i mean? But ya over all this looks like a great game with lots of variey and replay value.
As for Bioshock, it looks like a good game, but it desent do it for me. I think its just hype in my oppinopn. I will be getting Two Worlds over Bioshock. Two worlds dont need to wait. It will have greater replay value and more fun in my oppinion.
Oh great – it was just announced by take two that the uk wont get it until September 7th. This sucks – I’m sick of waiting! So is Bioshock any good? I wasn’t too impressed with the demo. And I’ve had enough of fps type games for a while. Roll on September 26th!

Amazon just let me know this weekend that they can’t ship the PC version to me until the end of September now! I cancelled my order.
