Rumor: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta Goes Live…And Then Goes Dead Again

There have been scattered reports around the internet today that the beta for Super Street Fighter II HD Remix could now be downloaded through the XBLA (provided you purchased Capcom’s other game, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3). So like many people, I eagerly went to download the beta…and was met with an error message. I had been skeptical of the news anyway, since the beta release was actually scheduled for this Wednesday, so I wrote this off as some fake info at first. But after perusing the official blog for the beta, it seems the beta actually was available, but only for a brief period of time. Seems someone accidentally opened it up for access, allowing the few people who tried their luck this morning the chance to get the game a couple days early. Unfortunately, that error has since been corrected, so the rest of us will have to wait a couple days to get our taste of the revamped old school action.
