RUMOR: ‘Left 4 Dead’ Not Going to Grace the PS3

left 4 dead

According to a recent interview with Valve on their upcoming survival-horror game Left 4 Dead, the Xbox 360 version is still undergoing some tweaking so that it will match the awesomeness that the PC version is promising. When speaking about multiplayer capabilities, Doug Lombardi had this to say regarding split screen mode:

“It’s a good thing to want. Being able to play two people split-screen … four player would be even better, but I don’t think four- would happen. But for us, the idea of having two people play split-screen, playing co-op on the couch and letting the NPC’s fill out the rest … it’s a pretty big feature for us to chase. But right now, we’re not ready to say if it’s in or it’s out.”

Now that you have been given that little taste of news regarding multiplayer aspects of Left 4 Dead that may or may not affect you, here is news that will effect PS3 owners who were hoping to get their hands on the zombie lovefest Valve is promising us.

Although no direct quote was given by Lombardi or anyone else, OXM Magazine – which did the interview – has stated that Left 4 Dead will be EXCLUSIVE to the PC and Xbox 360. But until Doug sends us an email confirming or denying this bit of news, let’s just consider this speculation until we know for sure. At least if it does come to light that PS3 owners will be out of luck, gamers will already have been prepared for the possibility and over their initial disappointment.

Who cares? a company like Valve who doesn’t take ownership of their products and fight for them doesn’t deserve to be talked about.

i am not care about that what is cr*p? we’re better buy Haze is full 50gb more level more weapon

  3. Markson says:

Some brilliant english there mubeer lol. For those of you who don’t know valve created Half Life 2 which was one of the biggest selling games of all time so I don’t know how you are trying to write this game off before it’s even released

  4. Stephany says:

No kidding Markson. Personally I am looking forward to it, not only because it was created by Valve, but also because I love a good zombie hacking game  .

    Markson,

You are right about those being the same people that did Half-Life 2. Those are the same people that just stated that they are REALLY IMPRESSED with the “raw” power of the PS3. The same people that said Half-Life 2 runs really well on the PS3.

I guess PS3 owners will just have to wait for Half-Life 2 on the PS3 instead, huh?! Poor PS3 owners, right?!

Well, I do like games put out by Valve, I just don’t like how they don’t have any care or love for their developers. If they did, they’d be saying how ridiculous Fox news is, and shutting up Mr. Thompson on his views of Counter-Strike and how it destroys the world.

  7. shazamGAH says:

    Ascended_Saiyan,

Wtf are you talking about? The Orange Box came out for the PS3 as well as 360 and has Half-Life 2 in it, idiot. Personally, I believe that Half-Life 2 does run well on the PS3.
