Rumor: Infinity Ward Working on a Sci-Fi Title?

Ah, yes. We’re entering that fun period of the year where developers are sitting on their big announcements until E3. So instead, we crazy rumors coming out of nowhere that don’t really confirm anything. This newest one involves the team behind Call of Duty 4 and these words from an insider:
“We are currently working on a new sci-fi title, we cannot release any more information as of yet, we may or may not announce it at E3.”
Yes, it looks like Infinity World may be ditching the realistic modern world setting for the future. People are already speculating that this might be the backdrop for Call of Duty 6, but who knows? At this point, those guys could be working on a pony grooming simulator, and it’d still be called a “Game of the Year contender.”
My prayers have been answered!! Maybe!
