Rumor: Diablo III Will Release Before Starcraft II?

Considering it was announced long before Diablo III, you’d think Starcraft II would be the next new game releasing from Blizzard, right? Not so, according to the latest rumor. An anonymous source apparently tipped off BattleForums, saying that the development of the Starcraft sequel has been postponed for the most part until Diablo III is ready for launch. They’ve even shifted around the teams as such:
[Starcraft 2] is still being worked on, but only by a minuscule amount of people compared to what [Blizzard] put on the Diablo 3 team.
Personally, I’ll be happy with either game, though I do wonder if this means we’ll have to wait even longer for a new Blizzard title. It’s also kind of strange that Blizzard would do this now, since everything I’ve seen of Starcraft II lately makes it look like it could be finished any day now. We’ll have to see how this all plays out.

No way ,that would be the best decision ever , I just can t wait for diablo 3 .
Given that Starcraft 2 is looking pretty good, it’d be no surprise for Blizz to reallocate resources. You don’t leave people sitting about until a title ships; they finish their bit (whether it be programming, art, modelling etc), and move onto the next project.
I’d call this out as “common sense”, rather than a scandalous rumour.
Eh, I don’t believe this to be true but I could see it happening. Diablo 3 is being made by the WoW team ( BRING BACK BLIZZARD NORTH DAMN U!) which holds many many more programmers than the starcraft 2 team (not sure which studio is doing that it), but thats just from what i’ve collected… Either will suffice.
sounds plausible, but not for those reasons. If anything, Blizz’l (like that?) release SC2 come Christmas. They’ve been talking about it forever. Why would it be release after D3?
I dunno, maybe Blizz thinks that since SC2 will be pirated to hell or something.
I really don’t care, I’m looking forward to buying both.
Maybe Blizz is playin along with that one crazy dude and his uber conspiracy theory about the Gnaw Ring or w/e and an error messge that says D3 09/09/09
