Rumor: BioShock 2 To Be A Prequel

Rumors are starting to circulate concerning the story nehind BioShock 2. According to Czech gaming site Hrej.cz, a source within 2K Games has told them that BioShock 2 is already in the pre-production phase and that it will be released mid-2009. Graphic design and plot is 2K’s primary focus at the moment, and the plot will be set before the events that took place in the original game.
I’m really excited about this if it turns out to be a true rumor. Finding out more about the fall of Utopia is a dream for anyone who fell in love with BioShock.

I would like to see them remake system shock 2, instead.

i agree but would like to see bioshock 2 but system rock 2 remake sounds good as well

I agree with "weclock" - System Shock 2 was a great game, and Bioshock has only a part of the greatness of sys2. I think that Bioshock is only a standard shooter with some elements of System Shock (for example those plasmids). They made a mistake by simplyfiying this game - where is the unique atmosphere, and the rpg elements of SS2? The gaming world saw another game with great graphics, and a good gameplay. I personally don't understand all this mess about Bioshock - it may be a interesting game, but it isn't a revolution. I think that the answer is simple - people who love bioshock simply didn't played or forgot about System Shock 2. Can somebody answer me what is so great in this game?

someone seems to have not played bioshock because its a great game filled with a bunch of stuff that makes and made and will make it a great clasic in years to come. Bio shock 2 would only make this more of a great game. I believe that SYS 2 is my yet to be played game, ill get back to you on that one.
