Rockstar Games announced today they will be bringing Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis to the Nintendo Wii this fall. The game originally debuted May 2006, where it received huge critical acclaim.
Sam Houser, Executive Producer at Rockstar Games reveals the reason behind the development of a Wii version of Table Tennis,
“Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version. By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilizing the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down.”
The Xbox 360 version of Table Tennis had pretty deep gameplay mechanics. For those of you who might not have played the title, there were a lot of factors that came into play each and everytime you hit the ping pong ball. Four different types of hits, angles, speed, height… my concern is how Rockstar will be able to translate all of these factors into the Wii version.

A non violent game from Rockstar….fair enough! This could be interesting, but I don’t like the idea of using the Wii for virtual real-games, if you see what I mean.
I own this game for the 360, it is table tennis madness. Its fast paced fun and very fun to play a quick game with some friends or on XBL. Some people dont give this game the credit it deserves because its only table tennis. But i say to anyone play it and see. I own a Wii too and if it comes out for the WII it will be a must have. Rockstar made a good game like they usualy do.
