oh HELLZ yeah! This is one of the best line-ups for a guitar hero style game I’ve seen yet! AND ITS GOT DRUMS!!! The end of November can’t come soon enough.
I can only sympathize with half that track listing. I know it’s not all about the guitar parts, but I couldn’t knowingly own anything with “When You Were Young” on unless there was a fantastic reason and for only a small handful of tracks I like, I can say there definitely isn’t. Roll on Guitar Hero 3. You’ve got my vote. Just need to decide which console I get it for now.
Yeah,
I agree, its official, the guitar hero setlist is superior. Still very good though.
This game went on the back burner for me, I just picked up GH3 for 360 with the wireless guitar. So I’ll pick up RB in 08 when I can just get the game and drums only…
After playing most of GH3 now, I can say that it has its fair share of “blah” tracks. In fact, maybe I’ll save that for a review. GH3 is definitely not as balanced as say GH2 was.
Rock Band is going for the less shreddy songs anyway. I tend to look forward to Rock Band more so for the DLC. Oh yeah, and drums do rule.
Hell, if that list is correct, it looks like Rock Band & Guitar Hero 3 are sharing a lot of tracks. I’m really not sure if that’s a good thing, either- like Steve said, some of those songs, well, they flat-out sucked.
Oh well, it’ll be interesting to see the two companies’ different takes on the same tunes.
Steve speaks truth. After playing through GH3, it’s time to look forward to RB. While there are a few great songs on GH3, the majority of the filler songs are flat out blah.
It’s GH3 for me, and for a very good reason: Rock Band isn’t being published for the PC. >.
