Rock Band Pricing Causes Ripples Through UK - Rightly So

UK gamers got some wonderful news this morning regarding Rock Band finally getting a release date across the pond, but that news was short lived when details on pricing came to light.
Last week it was speculated that Rock Band would cost UK gamers the equivalent of offering up their first born and today that little bit of speculation is not so far fetched. You see, Rock Band is not included with the instrument pack does not include the actual game. The Instrument Edition will be priced at £129.99 ($240.13), the game sold separately will cost £49.99 ($78.50) all amounting to a grand total of £180 ($282.66). The PS3 and Wii versions will hit sometime this Fall.
UK gamers have expressed disdain for this price gouging over on Eurogamer and some of the comments are quite comical and a bit rude. Nice for a laugh, and to be honest I could not agree more with them.

This goes beyond the idea of "Don't like it, don't buy it". A video game should not cost as much as a console. Rock Band is such a great game and I'd love for our European brothers to experience it, but that is just way too much money.

This is a total scam for our friends in Europe. That price is outrageous compared to here in Canada and the USA. For that price of $282 without the game, i can see alot of Rock Band bundles sitting on the Shelf, u can get a real guitar for that price. Even if i was a rich Europiean id still not waste that kinda cash on Rock band, Even the $170 price tag in Canada is steep to many. I got my rock band set used for $100. but $282 and no game? WTF!!!
