Rock Band on eBay – You Want HOW Much for It????

Desperate people sometimes do desperate things out of stupidity. The idea of cashing in on an ill-informed buyer is one such nonsensical scam that miscreants accomplish all the time. Take for instance the asking prices for Rock Band over on eBay. Are there really THAT many desperate gamers or parents out there who would be willing to pay upwards of over $300 for EA’s most popular game of the season? I would like to think not, but evidence is evidence and if you want to see the lengths people will go to when desperate for an item, just take a look for yourself.
Anyone worth their IQ would wait and purchase the game when their nearest store has it back in stock. Are there really this many shortages of the game? We would love to hear what the verdict on Rock Band is in your area, so readers, let us know!

What’s sad is, according from various people, there are PLENTY of Rock Band bundles in stock in various stores. Once again, just like the Wii, there is an overabundance of false reports stating the product is scarce.
To be honest, my brother has been looking for a PS3 bundle of Rock Band and they are actually very scarce. The stores he has called either have neither bundle, or have just the Xbox 360. So Mr. Sadistic, you are somewhat correct. When it comes to the PS3 bundle though, those are the ones that are really hard to find since not as many PS3 bundles have been produced.
I tried every I thought of, Best Buy, Gamestop, EB Games, and Target. Then as a last resort I call Wal-Mart and they had 16!
I cannot find the Rock Band Bundle in any of the stores in my area. As per request of the article, I am in the Greater Northwest. I have checked up and down the Eastside ( Bellevue, Redmond, Woodinville ) all the way up to Everett and Marysville. Roughly an expansive 50 mile stretch.
Everywhere is sold out, and I’ve called various stores and their sister stores. So if you ask me, I will tell you that the product is indeed difficult to come by.
I don’t think Mr. Sadistic and Daniel are people who have tried looking for the game, especially after Black Friday and the subsequent days. If they were, they’d probably be able to tell you, where and when they picked it up. So while they say it must be overblown hype, I can ensure you that certain areas will be lacking.
I’ve been perusing forums for clues as to places where people have been finding the bundles. Everyone tries the major plays ( Best Buy, Circuit City, Gamestop ) to no avail. I didn’t think of Walmart because I think they’re a blight on consumerism–but I tried anyway because their warehouses are more expansive than BB and CC combined. The demographics would be right anyhow, as most of the people who shop at Walmart, aren’t the type who are just throwing down 180 ( State Sales tax is 6.5% and local sales tax is usually a minimum of 2% ) for a game.
My research would suggest that it is easy to come by for some people. May you be the lucky persons who live in an areas where rhythm games aren’t popular. Denizens of Michigan for instance. However, if you’re in the Seattle area, good luck–everyone is saying that they will not be getting shipments ( with no guarantee that Rock Band can be found inside of said shipment ) in Tuesday through Wednesday. Though for good measure I personally will be checking Monday.
There is a short–if not lack–of supply in my area. I have searched high and low ( very low [Walmart]) and I cannot find it. Yet, I’m not financially stupid enough to pay someone over $100 to get this game, regardless of how much I want it. Screw them and their avarice.
There’s plenty on the Gulf coast, bought mine at Wal-mart the sunday after black friday. I went to wal-mart and gamestop here today and they both had full shelves, although almost all of them were the 360 version. And if you go to wal-marts web site it says the 360 version is out of stock online but PS3 has many.

I have long held a theory on this. The short answer to your question is, “yes.”
Parents these days are so busy climbing the corporate ladder and/or ‘enjoying’ working 60 hour weeks that they don’t have time for their kids (something they should have thought of before they had them, but that’s a different story). So when the kid wants something they get it for them, no matter the cost.
Kids are growing up with a sense of entitlement. If they want something, they get it. They’re going to be in for a rude awakening when they hit the real world.
Hell, I see them every time i go to ANY store in my region. Much like License to Ill said, you can find tons at stores located along the gulf coast. Someone must have smoked some bad granola to pay over 200 dollars for this!
I think its YMM. I saw a ton on black friday weekend but since then, bupkis.
i had to run 20 minutes away from my town to go get it da midnite it came out. the walmart in my town didnt have it so i had to make dat drive. they had 2 xbox versions left and all da ps3’s. but den again my area is full of sports gamers and first person shooters
Agree with Spiral Gray. There are parents who do not have time to check comparative prices for the product which they want to buy for their kids. For them time saved is money earned!
some guy wants $100,000 for it!!!
