As promised last Friday, this week’s helping of Rock Band downloadable content includes a grand total of six new songs, all of which are master tracks of Grateful Dead. The usual pricing scheme of 160 Microsoft Points ($2) is the asking price per song, or you can pick up a bundle with all six tracks for 800 points.
- “China Cat Sunflower” (Master)
- “Casey Jones” (Master)
- “Sugar Magnolia” (Master)
- “Truckin” (Master)
- “Franklin’s Tower” (Master)
- “I Need A Miracle” (Master)
The content is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. PlayStation 3 owners will be able to get the new DLC on Thursday.
So who’s going to be downloading?

Beatles please and Dave Matthews Band? I was never into the “Dead” much.
another disappointment, i preferred it when you had three different artists a week, at least then i had a good chance of liking one of them.
More horrific choices. While there might be problems with artists and / or labels, come on Rock Band, listen to your consumers or we’ll drop you like we did Guitar Hero.
Awwww, boo hoo hoo. I feel for you, I really do
. Only one artist. I bet waiting that extra week will literally kill you.
Sweet! Now I have real reason to go out and buy it.
Bring out your Dead!!
Finally a real band. Listeners take note. This is what a real band sounds like.
Well I hope this is one step closer to Zeppelin
