bad companyAlright folks, I know it is not even February yet (we have one more day) and DLC for Rock Band scheduled for March is already being tossed about. Still no full album DLC, just songs here and there, and who else is getting a little sick of the same ole groups being released – well sick of Lynyrd Skynyrd anyway, but at least “Simple Man” is not so bad.

Also, what is up with Bad Comany’s “Shooting Star”? To me, that is one big snooze fest of a song – if they really MUST include some Bad Company, why not “Rock Steady” or “Feel Like Making Love”? Granted, neither are truly songs to “rock out” to, but I suppose we can forgive them as long as the makers NEVER give us the optional horror of “Silver, Blue and Gold”. Sorry, I just absolutely hate that song.

Now, on the Police DLC note – it is bad enough that we had to deal with “Message in a Bottle”with GHII, why in the name of all that is holy would we want to suffer through that again? Tell, me, seriously – how many of you got “sending out an s.o.s.” stuck in your head long after beating the song? ARGH! It is in my head once more.

Try to enjoy the latest list of DLC for Rock Band – hopefully no one is too ticked off about it, and while some of the Metallica fans out there might be a little bit “meh” over “Fuel” being included – at least it is some more Metallica and is also not a crappy cover.

March 4 – Thrash Pack
At The Gates: Blinded By Fear
Evile: Thrashes
The Haunted: Shadow World

March 11
Bad Company: Shooting Star (COVER)
Lynyrd Skynyrd: Simple Man
The Police: Message in a Bottle

March 18 – NIN Pack
Nine Inch Nails: March of the Pigs
Nine Inch Nails: The Collector
Nine Inch Nails: The Perfect Drug

March 25 – Metal Pack
Iron Maiden: Wrathchild (COVER)
Black Sabbath: Supernaut (COVER)
Metallica: Fuel

This info came from the March edition of OXM, so now when it hits shelves, you will no longer be surprised, and hopefully if you are disappointed with any of the DLC listed, you will hopefully be over it by then.

I want some Dave Matthews Band and damnitt……..who do I have to kill to get a Beatles song or two?

  2. Stephany says:

I would love some Beatles. Who wouldn’t? That would be totally kick-ass.

Granted, all of these “metal” songs as DLC are great, but there are plenty of other genres that need to be considered as well.

  3. Jonathan says:

i’ve said it before, and i’ll say it again: where Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’?” I like NIN and all, but what’s wrong with some more classic rock?

  4. some guy says:

This game already has enough classic rock. There needs to be more metal, cause i’m sick of all this easy crap.
