Gone is RockBand.com’s boring community area which was nothing more than a forum, and in is the new MySpace-esque “Rockers Home.” This new community area will allow you to register an account and connect it to your Xbox Live Gamertag or PlayStation Network ID so that you can share characters, bands and high scores with other folks.

Those are definitely some welcomed features, although beyond that, the features begin to become less interesting with the ability to have your own personal page to post pictures, make friends, and write blogs. While I suppose this might be useful to some, I don’t know why anyone would want to confine their blog to a specific videogame website when there are plenty of other free alternatives.

Just a heads-up: you need to solve a math problem in order to register (to make sure you’re not one of those newfangled robot things), and they were kind enough to offer the following tip in case you don’t posses basic mathematic skills: “Solve this simple math problem and enter the result. E.g. for 1+3, enter 4.”

Why, thank you.
