Rock Band’s Canadian Launch “Bungled”

It’s not often a story comes along where I can properly use the word “bungled,” let alone one where I can put it in quotes and stick it in the title, so I was quick to pick up on this story after I noticed it. While Rock Band’s launch in the US last month went relatively smoothly (with the exception of all those broken guitars and drums and whatnot). Now the Canadian launch has been “bungled” as CBC News put it, as retailers operated under a “cloud of confusion.”
Some stores were expecting to have the game in stock yesterday, albeit in unknown quantities. Others, including Best Buy and Future Shop, have told customers that the game has been delayed until December 28.
Being a fanatic of several oft-delayed games, I can certainly understand the frustration on the part of Canadian gamers. Rock Band has been delayed there several times, and despite this new release date being right around the corner, it doesn’t seem at all possible that supply will meet demand.

Fun fact: I nearly submitted this story with the title ‘Rock Band’s Canadian Lunch “Bungled”‘ which would’ve been even more awesome.
Lunch ! LOL !
