Resident Evil for the GBA and GBC: what could have been and thankfully isn’t

A couple of videos recently showed up on YouTube featuring gameplay footage from two long-cancelled titles: Resident Evil for the Gameboy Color and Resident Evil 2 for the Gameboy Advance. I’m not sure what the developers were going for at the time, but from what I’ve gathered, the GBC game tells the heart-warming story of two walking turds who band together to fight a stationary, green turd, while the GBA version conveys the epic tale of one man’s struggle to find a door by shooting at walls.

I’m sorry, but that is about as damn jam-packed as an original or GBC cart could ever hold. Also, have you seen resident evil gaiden compared to this? At least RE for GBC allows me to relive the original story, but in very refined but LIMITED graphics. :???:
