Resident Evil 5 Artwork and Screens

Another post containing artwork and screens for a highly anticipated game. Who would have thunk that such a thing could happen twice in one day. If you are a gaming journalist, you know what I am talking about - if not, just enjoy the awesome screens from what is promising to be a killer new chapter in the Resident Evil series.

According to NeoGAF, who translated the beautiful Japanese language they read via Famitsu, here is what you can expect from the game and in the way of future asset releases:

• A new trailer will be shown in the very near future
• There’s a new female character
• In addition to areas that make use of sunlight as a gameplay dynamic, there will be darker, shadow-filled areas as well, such as a cavern where Chris utilizes a flashlight. There will be an intense contrast between light and dark
• A knife, sniper rifle and the handgun are the only confirmed weapons at this point
• Chris will be up against very powerful enemies once again, and this shot of some creature behind iron bars is reminiscent of Chris’s previous enemies, such as CODE: Veronica’s Nosferatu

If you look at the one screen very closely, you can see what looks like Noseratu behind bars. Looks like we will have to wait for the Resident Evil 5 video to come out, which will hopefully show more of what to expect. I am just hoping that the blond gal Chris is “holding” in that one screen is not Ashley or another damsel in distress.
