I don’t think Dragonforce is crap, I was listening to them back when Valley of the Damned was released, before guitar hero existed, I don’t play guitar hero just because it’s “hard”, I play on expert,and I play because it’s fun. I also play a real guitar, so leave out any comments on that, and you can criticize Dragonforce all you want if you can play better than them.

Well to correct you on that, I can play better than them… and so can most kids playing guitar in their basements. I happen to play in a band that covers Symphony X and Dream Theater as well as the occasional Paul Gilbert track so I know a thing or two (or 100 ) about playing a guitar. I saw Dragonforce at a festival in southern California, and by GOD they were awful. I know that bands don’t get a soundcheck for festivals, but Herman Li can not complete a song without makign at least 10 mistakes. The problem w/ DF is that they speed up their studio recordings past their playing ability, and go even faster onstage, which makes for a worse show. We practically had to save the show after they played (which we did w/ an awesome cover of “The Divine Wings of Tragedy”.). Their studio recordings are actually not that bad, but I prefer bands who can actually TOUR as opposed to just record into a computer and then edit.
