Ready At Dawn is Done With the PSP

Developer, Ready At Dawn Studios, has announced that they are officially done producing games for the PSP. This is kind of strange, considering their first game ever, Daxter, and their biggest hit, God of War: Chains of Olympus, were both for Sony’s handheld. But nevertheless, their news site confirms that they are really finished with the system and even offers up this photo of all their devkits — boxed up and ready to be shipped back — as proof. No word on where they’ll be turning their attention to next though, since all they have to say on the matter right now is, “Can’t wait to show you guys what we have in store….” Considering the only other game they developed was the Wii port of Okami, you can probably guess which system their next project is slated for.

See all those rats leaving the ship?
It’s sinking boys and girls, get out now.
I never really got into the psp, its an awesome design, its fun, but i used to have a gameboy and could spend hours on that playing something like Pokémon or something, sad as it was, it was fun
.
The PSP offered a next gen hand held games console kind of thing in my opinion, but it didn’t get me hooked, i take it on holiday now and again but i never find it fun to play on on the plane or something, i’d rather watch a film or play on the airlines crappy games on a longhaul flight such as England to America or something.
I mean thats just me i think a market is bigger for consoles such as the Wii (although i own a ps3) because of the amounts being sold.

Sinking? Over 30m sold? A 30% share of the handheld market which Nintendo used to have 100% control over?
Please clarify exactly how its sinking. This is simply a tiny studio moving onto a next gen console project. They aren’t a big studio which works on loads of platforms at once which is why they are sending the dev kits back. You should remember that they don’t own either of the titles they developed for the PSP, they were simply hired by Sony to make them
The only problem with the PSP at the moment is that developers cant be bothered to give gamers in the west anything that appeals to them. Its selling fantastically in Japan and so far in 2008 its the biggest selling console there above the Wii, DS, PS3, PS2 and 360.
BTW my money is on them making a Jack & Daxter game for the PS3 considering their links with Naughty Dog and the fact that Naughty Dog have decided to concentrate on Uncharted games for the time being.
I believe it’s a guarantee that Ready At Dawn is moving on to the PS3. They have a fantastic relationship with Sony.
And to the retard that said that the PSP is sinking, it’s quite the opposite.
Norbit can i just say im not trying to freak out out with my name i just want to say that i love every statement u make
