banjo1 headline Rare Debunks Motion Control Functionality for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

Speaking to Eurogamer about the recent rumor regarding motion control for the new Banjo-Kazooie game,  a spokesperson flat out denied any such thing.

“While we are usually loathe to comment on rumor and speculation, this is a red herring. The game does not feature motion control. It’s good enough as it is, to be honest.”

Apparently, in the video posted by IGN that got the internet all abuzz, Microsoft’s Ken Lobb was actually talking about the left analog stick and nothing more.

In an attempt to mash the rumors into nothing more than a bloody stain on the sidewalk, VG247 reports that Rare’s George Kellion has also issued a statement:

“There’s no truth to the Banjo motion control rumor. Banjo has been designed to be played using a gamepad from the outset. People shouldn’t take rumours that gestate in comments sections so seriously. They can often turn out to be red herrings, as is the case with Banjo and motion controls.”

“Red Herring” is now officially the term of the day, especially since I never use it and have twice in this post.
