Rare’s Next Project: The Fast & The Furriest

It’s not uncommon to see Microsoft’s acquisition of Rare questioned. If Xbox 360 Fanboy’s reports are accurate, one of their next projects is a title for Xbox Live Arcade, cleverly titled The Fast & The Furriest. The game will be a party sports game that will make use of the Xbox Live Vision camera. (Another iffy and, as-yet, arguably worthless part of the Xbox 360.)
Using the Vision camera, you’ll be able to map your face onto the body of any number of Rare mascots as you participate in events such as hurdles, the 100 meter dash, bungee run, and tip-tup curling. (Admittedly, I don’t even know what that is.) There are also plans for downloadable content that will include more events, including bowling, volleyball and fishing, among others.
While it’s not the most original idea (similar games make up approximately 95% of the Wii’s library, by my scientific calculations), it’s not something the Xbox 360 has seen a lot of. Xbox 360 Fanboy mentioned that their source also clued them into some sort of motion controller that Rare was playing with that was ultimately scrapped.

The cam is fun for things like Uno with a few friends, or when I wanna video chat with a buddy after a few hours of gaming. But you’re correct, it.s not the most used article that I bought with my 360 Elite.
