picross2 Puzzles go Wireless with Picross DS

Nintendo’s Picross DS is set to take daily puzzles wireless. This catchy little game plays like a cross between sudoku and crossword puzzles. A picture is waiting to be discovered behind each numbered grid. Unravel the logic puzzle to reveal the image. Picross has two modes. Daily Picross mode allows you to play and track your progress over a period of time. The one that sounds most interesting to me is the My Picross mode. Players have the opportunity to design their own custom puzzles or convert hand-drawn pictures into challenging Picross DS grids.

Here’s the fun part wireless connection allows players to share their custom Picross puzzles or even host multi player Picross matches.  It also allows you to download new puzzle packs and upload your own creations as well as go head to head with your buddies. From this information, I’m assuming Nintendo is going to be doing some more creating of its own to keep the game fresh and interesting.

If it’s as addicting as Minesweeper, I’m in trouble.
