More award notices keep cropping up from this past week’s Interactive Achievement Awards at DICE. Sure, Call of Duty 4 nabbed “Best Overall Game,” but you know which award I really care about? The one that Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords received for “Best Downloadable Game.”
“Earning an Interactive Achievement Award is a great success for D3PA and Infinite Interactive; to be recognized as a leader in technical innovation and gameplay experience with a game like Puzzle Quest is an honor,” said Peter Andrew, vice president, product development, D3PA. “We took a risk offering such a genre-bending title, but Puzzle Quest has now paved the way for more compelling puzzlers to come. We’re thrilled with the praise it’s received over the last year and hope Puzzle Quest continues to capture the affection of casual and hardcore gamers alike.”
It’s nice to see Puzzle Quest get this sort of recognition, especially since it probably stole more hours from my life last year than any retail game.

Very happy to see it win. I love me some PQ.
I agree. PQ is one of my favorite XBLA titles.
