I stand corrected. I dont know why I thought it only had 2 shoulder buttons because I can remember using my PS1 controller on the PS2 when it first came out so it must have had 4.

@ KoE_Dae’Loki. Ape Escape was ported to the PSP in 2005 so they must have go it to work somehow.

Um…in the later PSX days like when Ape Escape came out on the PSone, it did require both analog sticks to work. So some PSX games do require the analog sticks. And yes there was an L1, L2, R1, and R2 buttons.

Well Norbit, you thought wrong. Although the original PS controller did NOT consist of analog sticks, it did have 4 shoulder buttons.

If my memory serves me the original PS1 controller didn’t have analogue sticks and only had 2 shoulder buttons so there shoulnt be any problems at all.
