sonypsp PSP Redesign coming?

Kotaku has a possible scoop on an inbound PSP redesign. This is a rumor attributed to a “source close to Sony” but the information seems concistent to what a logical company would do to freshen the console. The PSP launched two years ago and has not seen any real change in manufacturing despite a decrease in cost. The Kotaku article says that the primary changes to the handheld would center around a new LCD screen that would increase not only the visual fidelity of the unit but also see a rise in the dreadfully short battery life. Other changes include a reworking of the D-pad, 8GB of internal Flash RAM and the possible addition of the camera accessory.

The new design is purported to be waiting for an E3 announcement with an August to September street data and a price around $170.
