PSP Gets an Unexciting Firmware Update, PS3 Firmware Coming Soon

While there’s no real confirmation that the new PS3 firmware is coming soon, it just seems likely – an entry on the European PlayStation website mentions the new PSP firmware has support for a new PS3 feature which will be in v2.00 of the console’s firmware.
The new PSP firmware, v3.72, doesn’t appear to add anything much outside of enhanced support for PlayStation Network games. That is, unless something’s hidden in there.
Interestingly, support for a PS3 feature in the new PSP firmware has been added, called Remote Start. Of course, the PS3 doesn’t have that feature yet, which will be a part of the v2.00 update.
We’ll keep you posted.

For me its a slightly bigger update as i have a japanese (psp “1000″.
The update includes automatic playthroughs on videos\Network title updates and the psp icon bar will no change colour for what ever background theme is set.

No it has nothing to do with the japanese version because those features came ages ago you’ve probably havent updated your psp for ages and the next one also included those features.
