PSone Games to be Released Bimonthly

Game | Life has got some translated news for us from the official Japanese PlayStation 3 website. Previously, PSone games were released on the last Thursday of each in month (in Japan, at least). Now, they’ll be adding games twice a month; today saw the release of eight new PSone games on the Japanese PSN.

Here in the US, SCEA is planning on doubling its output of PSone games, as well. Considering there’s really be nothing worth grabbing (Syphon Filter didn’t hold up quite as well as I had hoped, and throwing it onto my PSP to play was a disaster control-wise), this will hopefully breathe some life into that area. As Chris Kohler mentioned in his story, though, “Effective immediately, their lineup, currently consisting of zero games, will be doubled.”
