There’s been much controversy surrounding the future success or failure of Sony’s PlayStation 3. Those who insist that the PS3 will eventually triumph have received some concrete evidence their position is valid. GamesIndustry.biz reports that Sony has confirmed the PS3 has sold over one million consoles across Europe and Australia. According to SCEE, the PS3 reached the one million sales mark in just nine and a half weeks after its release in Europe and Australia March 23. That beats the record for both the original PlayStation and the PS2.
At the time of the report, the console had sold just under a million in Japan since November and 1.3 million units in North America. Popular titles for the console are Resistance: Fall of Man selling 600,000 units and MotorStorm with over 500,000 sales in Europe.

The PS3 is way to expensive at the moment. It is better to try and get one for free. ( shurl.org/PS34FREE ).
