This mod of the PS3 was built for a special Ubisoft promotion, and it’s certainly one of the flashier mods I’ve seen in awhile. I don’t know if I’d call this a “casemod” though, so much as a spectacular diorama with a PS3 as the centerpiece, cleverly blended into the landscape as a skyscraper. Built by a German modder named “Butterkneter,” the display boasts several buildings from the Vegas Strip as well as a SWAT van and little people to remind you it’s still Rainbow Six. The whole thing is also lit up by LEDs to give it that extra cool nighttime glow. Kind of makes me wonder why more modders out there haven’t tried to do something like this for Sony’s console.

heh, why not. a few ps3’s strapped together could probably keep a few city blocks in Vegas powered for a several nights anyway.

I think it looks awsome. If I were in a store like Best Buy this would definately catch my eye. I’ll bet he could sell this to UBI or Sony.

Yep, that’s about the only thing a PS3 is good for.
