The PlayStation 3 has been out for more than 14 months now, and it will finally see the release of a “greatest hits” lineup of games that will carry the awkward name of “PlayStation 3 the Best.” Aside from the terrible name, the initial budget lineup will go on sale in Japan on March 19, be priced at 3,619 yen (about $34) and include some great games such as Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Resistance, as well as Folklore, Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight, and Ridge Racer 7.
A spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe would not confirm that a similar lineup would be coming to Europe, but said that it’s likely.
With that in mind, it seems likely that North America will soon get an announcement. Let’s just hope the lineup has a better name than it does in Japan.
